Please Note: A copy of your transcripts MUST be submitted for your application to be considered.

A thank you letter to the scholarship donor must be received by the Foundation before scholarship funds will be released

Applications must be hand delivered to the Business Office.

The Foundation will start accepting the applications March 1, 2019.

The deadline to submit the applications is April 26, 2019 at 4:00 pm.

  • Spanish American Institute (SAI) Scholarship

       Awarded to the full-time students, residents of Southern California between San Diego and San Luis Obispo, who

       identify themselves with the Latino culture, or the ways he/she supports or advocates for those of Latino descent. 

  • The students also must write a one-page essay on back ground, interests, goals, and need for award; and indicate how he/she identifies with the Latino culture or the ways he/she supports or advocates for those of Latino descent.

  • They have to be willing to interact with SAI and grant permission to publish award’s ceremony photos on SAI website. (Available for Award: 4 Scholarships of $500 each)​

  • Dunne Family Scholarship

Purpose: To assist current matriculated students who upon graduation, are planning to transfer to college

  • Minimum GPA:  2.5

  • Minimum Semester Units: 12

  • Demonstration of Financial need (guidelines determined by the Board Committee)

  • A one-page essay is required describing: Why you want to receive the scholarship and what your ultimate goals are. (Available for Award: 2 Scholarships of $500 each)

  • Gerald Fecht Scholarship

Purpose: To assist academic minded students, either matriculated or non-matriculated and help them fulfill their vocational interest.\

Minimum GPA:  2.0

Minimum Semester Units: 12

Demonstration of Financial need (guidelines determined by the Board Committee)

A one-page essay is required describing: Why you want to receive the scholarship and what your ultimate goals are. (Available for Award: 2 Scholarships of $500 each)

 

  • Grady Talbot Veterans Scholarship

Purpose: To assist veterans who are career minded. Available to both matriculated or non-matriculated students who have served in Active Duty.

Minimum GPA: 2.0

Minimum Semester Units: 6 and Students must have recently completed 2 consecutive semesters at Pierce College of at least 6 units each.

Demonstration of Financial need (guidelines determined by the Board Committee)

A one-page essay is required describing: Why you want to receive the scholarship and what your ultimate goals are. (Available for Award: 2 Scholarships of $500 each)

 

  • West Hills Auxiliary Medical Scholarship

Purpose: To assist current matriculated students who upon graduation, are planning to transfer to college

Minimum GPA:  2.5

Minimum Semester Units: 12

Demonstration of Financial need (guidelines determined by the Board Committee)

A one-page essay is required describing: Why you want to receive the scholarship and what your ultimate goals are. (Available for Award: 2 Scholarships of $500 each)

  • Marian S Weiser Dance Scholarship

Purpose: Awarded to one student in the dance department

Minimum GPA:  3.0

Minimum Semester Units: At least three (3) dance classes

A Letter of Recommendation from a Pierce College faculty member is required. Also required is a short bio that includes any performances the student has taken part. (Available for Award: 1 Scholarship of $400 each)

  • GoFundMe Awards for Student Victims of Recent Wild-Fires

Awards can replace supplies that will help fire-affected students to begin, resume, or continue their education. Students who have experienced loss are also eligible recipients. Disbursement award amounts and methods of identifying and selecting affected students is at the discretion of the Foundation for Pierce College Fire Relief Committee members. 100% of funds are intended to support students of Pierce College.
